When I packed my new RHS for the concert

I just had a thought that I should write this post

to say 'thank you' for my old one,

which will not be used anymore.

They were my first Lolita shoes

and we survived so many amazing (the best I think)

moments together^^

They are breaking apart now,

but I will never forget all this whiles^^

So thank you my poor Shoes-chan.

He is the French painter from XIX century.

He mostly painted Sarah Bernhardt,

the actress who was known from a little strange habits

(like sleeping in a coffin XD)

This movie was almost perfect.

Plot, characters, strong emotions, music, interiors and costumes.

Everything that a good movie needs.

You can even see longer fragments of operas^^

Relation between Mozart and Salieri

is so reliable.

Admiration and hate.

Love and obsession.

I somehow understand him better than I should...

A story in story makes it all more dramatic.

It does not matter that the story is not true.

Who even need a reality?

(btw after watching costume movies I am always sad...

why I do not live in such times O_o

Well, N4 was a little too easy for me...

but I have never expected that I will get 180/180 points O_o

to correct my test.

Beau Brummell: This Charming Man.

The story about Beau Brummel,

the arbiter of elegance in XIX century's England.

He simplified men's outfit,

(you can somehow call it the precursor of a suit)

put away wigs and powder,

but in the same time he cared more for

regular washing and shaving.

And spent a lot of hours everyday to make himself look perfect.

Elegant outfit combined with his unobjectionable manners,

refined language and cynic remarks

made him an ideal dandy.

Definitely charming man, isn't he?

Maybe I prefer a little more sophisticated clothes,

but who could resist to a such elegant man with perfect manners?

My thoughts go directly to my favorite writer and a dandy as well:

It's like a memory from a dream.

From my childhood dream^^

Anastasia was one of my favourite childhood movie^^

After so many years... I enjoyed it again.

It was normal for a little girl to feel touched

by the story of the lost princess,

but seems that I have not changed so much since I was around 10

when I saw it for the first time^^

One of the best part is when Anastasia is

in the palace for the first time after ten years

and memories come back to her.

I planned this post ages ago...

but was too busy to write it

and now some of my thoughts are lost...

And I got involved in this anime too much

and forgot to take screenshots or wrote down quotes.

Eh... this anime is worth writing a better post...

Never mind.

Princess Tutu?

It sounds dumb, right?

Magical girls? And ballet?

You can imagine something similar to

Card Captor Sakura (or even worse)

plus ballet which will make it even dumber.

Nothing more misleading.

What you get is an absolutely beautiful fairy tale

with ballet and classical music which creates even more magical atmosphere.

Episodes are named after famous ballet stories

and this is not a coincidence, but you can find a connection within their content.

Ant this connection really makes sense. It seems natural.

Once upon a time a man died.

His work was creating stories to tell other people.

This is how the story begins.

Like typical fairy tale.

The action takes place in a city with a ballet school

where stories come true.

There is a small duck who turned into a girl,

a prince who lost his heart,

crow's daughter

and a ballet teacher who is... a cat.

It can all sounds really childish and a little silly,

but in fact every second of this anime is a food for mind and eyes.

Welcome to the stage I've been saving.

Now. tell me the best story that was ever told! Tell it to me with no regard for your lives!

I will risk and say that it is one of the best story

I have ever seen.

This is one of this anime that I truly enjoy and find deeper meaning,

but I would also love to show it to my children one day.

It is just for everyone.

And if you additionally love ballet you will be in heaven.

Return to Labyrinth.

Manga sequel to the movie Labyrinth.

I was really shivering when reading it.

I could never accept the ending from the movie....

Manga takes place 13 years later...

and now it is Toby, Sarah's little brother,

who is chosen to be Jareth's heir.

I somehow hoped for a fairy tale ending.....

Sarah forgot about labyrinth

and leaved her dreams behind.

Or maybe Jareth took them?

Didn't he want her to feel disappointed with life?

But then they meet again....

But this story can not have happy ending....

I was so naive to believe in it...

...

But well there are two kind of fantasy stories.

One entirely take place in a made-up world.

The second one mixes make-believe with reality.

We must believe that there is no real difference between them.

That's why Sarah started writing stories.

In love with the Goblin's King

Next movie with David Bowie, but so completely different.

Of course that I have heard about Labyrinth and

probably even watched it as a child

(as my grandma said),

but I did not remember a single thing.

OMG I am so in love now *_*

The movie is old what you see very well,

but the atmosphere is amazing

so fairy tale like <333

Puppets of monsters made by Jim Henson

suit perfectly there.

Generally the story is about Sarah

who travels to the castle of the King of Goblins

to get back her little brother.

In fact it is the story of how Sarah was growing up

and unfortunately leaving her dreams for reality.

In the beginning she was shown as a girl
deeply immersed in her dreams.
She was reading about goblins, putting crowns on her head
and telling a story how the King of Goblins fell in love with her.

But this journey changed her.
In the end the only thing she cares about is her brother
and she did not even see that Goblin's King is in love with her.

The day started really badly...

I forgot to take my Versailles bracelet (for the first time)....

and I was late for a Japanese test....

Anyway on the test we were going to write about an interesting custom

and I wrote about bringing roses to Versailles concert.

It was kind of an atonement.

Snow was falling so beautifully today

that in fact I was not able to continue my anger too long.

Then I went to H&M to buy super-famous fawn collar.

As expected: all were sold out.

But still I have found quite nice white muffler

and black bow necklace.

And then I bought black fur muffler in Orsay^^

Lights of Warsaw and Lolita Fashion

Last two days I spent in Warsaw

where I went for an academic conference

Attire as an expression of culture

(or something like that).

Listening to all presentation was really tiring,

but in fact the majority of them was interesting

and I have found some new inspirations^^

After that we went to take a walk in Warsaw^^

Our hostel was located in a really nice street

in an Old Town.

Somebody could say that starting New Year with

writing the blog entry is stupid,

but I want to start it with being fully conscious

of the all effort I must put to make the next year

much more fabulous.

The first I have to admit

2011 was much better than 2010.

I can see my dreams again

and fight for them.

Polish TV will never learn anything.

They recorded a short program about Japanese Lolita

and invited some "specialists" to a studio.

You can watch the program here.

(but it is in Polish of course).

When I saw that they invited a sexologist

I had a bad premonition.

Quite true...

Even a person with a graduation

in Japanese studies had no idea

about anything.

And I can not understand why they thought that a girl

who took a part in Japanese talent show

and was in Japan

can know anything about Lolita Fashion at all O_o

Lolita Fashion is not Lolita Complex.

They were talking about something different than they show on pictures.

What they said was true, but it was about

burikko (child-like women).

A pun on furi (show, appearance) and ko (child).

And I encountered with opinions that they sometimes

use such way to seduce men.

But it has nothing to do with Lolita.

Matsuda Seiko was an influential star in

kawaii subculture, but she has nothing to do with Lolita.

Lolita Fashion is not an expression

of women's position in Japanese society,

but is rather a rebellion against it.

Let's quote an interview with a Lolita girl

who works in Tokyo's Babyssb store.

This generation - girls in their mid-twenties now-

is no longer pressured to get married and have children.

Lolitas enjoy living alone, enjoy being surrounded by cute things,

creating their own worlds.

I am happy as I am.

There are older people that come into the store.

Even when I get older I'll continue living this life.

For Lolitas, fantasy is better than reality.

Seeing someone in concert, for example, is an image of perfection.

All made up and dressed to the nines, a living doll -

Lolitas find that much more appealing than putting up with some guy who complains

Of course it can also be false

to some people who wear it just because it is cute

(in fact one does not exclude the other)

or they can have other reasons,

but if we want to show a tendency

this one should be presented.

All this cute behavior and language (called noripiigo)

have nothing to do with Lolitas

who rather use very polite joseigo,

which they call as Lady's speech (shokujo no kotoba).

They use words like

Osore irimasu- I am sorry

Go-kigen you -Good bye

or ending seu.

For all Japanese learners it is quite obvious

that it is not something normally used in colloquial Japanese.

It gives them aristocrat, princess- like image.

My first dollfie meet-up

Good weekend^^

On Friday I went shopping

and drank biiiiig gingerbread latte in Starbucks with friends <333

On Saturday: my first dollfie meet

and anime convention.

Let's start with the meet-up^^

There was around 30 people

and 50 dolls.

Really big^^

Desks were put together

to make a place for dolls.

Some strange guys appeared in the beginning

and started to discuss loudly about dolls.

So annoying!

Asking for price etc..

They continued to ask me

in my doll is my ideal men

and if I want to sell him

for.... 1000 zlotys O_o

JLPT and bed-time cartoons

I somehow forgot to make a post about my

trip to Warsaw for JLPT exam.

So let's write it now^^

All people from my Japanese school traveled together

so it was almost like a school trip

(the atmosphere from primary school).

Checking attendance list, defined free time,

travelling in one compartment

and even a package for everyone

from our sensei.

Everybody received pencils for the exam,

chocolate bar and a badge XD

I definitely like travelling like that.

Somebody does everything for me

and I can feel like a carefree child

(well I am always like that during travelling,

so not a big difference XD )

Exam was really easy.

Much more easier than I expected,

but I could not concentrate myself...

First part (vocabulary and kanji) was okay,

but on the second one with grammar and reading

I was distracted by my long necklace

that was hitting a table making noise.

Well. I guess it is all the effect of sleeping 2 hours...

The train was so early in the morning T.T

Never mind.

It was my first exam so I will forgive myself that

it was not that perfect.

Kitty strap and new lenses

My mom gave me the phone strap with Kitty^^

It has batteries, but in fact

I have no idea what for...

I tried to open it, press it..

but nothing works...

Today I put on my new lenses.

They are a little different from all

I had before.

They make your eyes look bigger,

but do not change your natural colour.

They just add black rings around pupils.

Seems okay^^

Some thoughts about visu and vk progam in polish tv

Lately we could see the Galileo program

about visual kei in Polish tv.

It was made in 2009 in Germany.

I would like to share some thoughts about it.

I was really happy and shocked to see vk

in Polish tv and in fact I think that some people

have exaggerated with negative opinions about it,

but of course that this program was not perfect....

The first thing is that this program was not just about visual kei,

but it was mostly about visu.

Their aim was not to present vk history, its diversity, but they

wanted to show the subculture.

They said only a few sentence about the history.

But just a shame that they did not mention

something more important or at least true....

First wave of vk had its root in glam rock

not in a rebellion against society.

Such theories are annoying.

Of course that some people can perceive it as a form of rebellion

and we can show it as one of the cause of spreading vk,

but do not exaggerate with it.

Some other errors and general notes:

♥ they translated kei as an origin.

In fact kei means style or system and

it is used to describe different waves

in fashion, music or generally in culture or life.

♥ why they were showing An Cafe all at the time?

they should show band of different styles

♥ polish translation...

they badly translated convention...

and they wear saying lolitaS all the time.

In German by s you can make plural

but speaking lolitas in polish makes it sound funny.

Polish has its own way of making plural....

♥ Lolitas can not have their own cosplay,

because loli is not a cosplay !!!

But plus that they called lolitas as nice guests

in vk world, but not as a definite part of it.

Of course that lolis were connected with vk in its origin

(specially Gothic ones and let's remember

about the theory that first lolis were Nagomu gals),

and still many lolis like vk, but it is bot a rule.

Some lolis are not interested in vk or even in Japan at all.

♥ calling a dance of fans during concerts

as para para is not true....

♥ I have to say it:

one girl had a badge with Versailles

yees seeing it in my own tv was priceless XD

Now one more important thing.

Some people were interested how they came with

this word visu.

We do not use it all.

I asked my German sis about it.

All quotes used by permission^^

Word visu is really used in German.

People who are not interested in vk

can use it for all fans,

but among fans it is used in a little negative meaning.

(...) people who know VK but think in a different way about the scene
call some other fans of vk 'visus' because it's meant in a more badly way.
For me a typicall german 'Visu' would be
(and sry for all these prejudices, but they are very true over here...)
a mostly fat (of course there are also normal and thinn) girl
with no sense of style or what she should wear,
tries to wear typicall vk cloth or what they idols wear,
instead of normal cloth and have terrible make up
and no sense for anything that is important in their real life.
And truly they try to be very cool,
but are such kids and just life for they fandom (Kinda life-escape).
Of course there are guys, too and girls that don't fit in that shape...
But 98% of the scene are girls like I described.
Otherwise I would call them just fans and show them more respect for them and their interest.

So that means that visu is used

for some extremely fangirling types

who have no life except vk

and wear vk clothes, because they want to look like their idols.

Sis told me her interesting

categorization:

1. there are normal fans, who look normally, nice, maybe coord bandshirts on concerts
2. There are visus, who dress up themselves,
mostly in a very bad way, try to be fangirlish, but they don't harm anyone
3. there are visualer (strnger form of visu xD) who are very loud,
annyoung, even worse dressed and think they are the top of the fans-world
4. Visualisten (most strong world we invented in German xD)
whoeven top the visualer with their kind of behaviour and dressing up.

Look at it with a wink of course.

Generally I do not like any categorization,

because in this way you can harm somebody,

but it just shows some tendencies.

I remember that I read an academic article

written by a Japanese teacher from German uni

who made a research among vk fans in Germany.

Results were quite similar.

A few days I go I saw a post in my friend's blog

about this movie and it seemed really interesting

so I decided to watch it.

This Belgian movie from 1997

My first academic conference

Today I took part in my first academic conference.

A general topic was about cultural aspects of a sensual sphere.

Of course I was a little nervous, but at least

I was talking about a topic (kawaii aesthetic) that I am really interested in

and I am happy that some people told me later

that it was interesting.

One guy said that it was like different world for him.

General many papers were good

and an atmosphere was really informal....

When I was in a library last time

I found this book just by chance.

White cover with a black bird on it

had something intriguing that wanted me to enter the story.

There was not almost any text.

Just black-white lithographic prints.

The black bird by Suzy Lee

I prefer sophisticated aesthetics.

Full of gold, frills and many decorations.

But this is exactly the reason why such severe prints

have always strong impact on me.

More I love splendor

more I feel deep sadness and loneliness in such art.

The text on this page says

I do not really know what is going on in this week.
Almost all lectures were cancelled. A lot of time... to waste XD
Anyway I try to find myself something to do.
Today my friend taught me how to play go.
He is really good at it and of course he won every time,
but in the end at least I was able to control some territories XD

BTW Blood Stain Child concert was cancelled...
I am not such big fan, but in fact
I expected it....
Now I do not have any concerts on my list
until the end of the year and even longer...
I hope some announcements will be made soon...
I want to get excited again and not just
spend all my time missing someone..

were going to show them the city.

Yesterday we had a small lolita meet-up.

Well I call it small, but in fact it was the biggest in Cracow so far

(except from the one on anime convention).

I have no idea why it is so always so difficult to organize it here...

But yesterday finally six people have arrived :>

It was quite good day to make a meet-up.

People just thought that we are dressed-up for Halloween XD

We have met with a lot of friendly reactions.

Specially in a museum.

to see an exhibition with Turner's paintings.

Turner is not my favourite painter,

but of course his sentimental water-colours

Paradise Kiss

I waited for this movie quite long.

ParaKissu is one of my favourite manga.

I am generally big Ai Yazawa's fan.

It is no sense to compare the movie to the manga.

Manga is a masterpiece

with authentic characters and one of the best ending ever.

The movie is just... nice.

But still I do not feel so disappointed.

Maybe because I was expecting something like that?

Maybe because my friend said me before that this movie

is so horrible that she can not forgive them to make it.

After hearing it I expected something much worse

than I have received in the end.

One biggest unforgivable minus is George...

He is of this special manga characters

that you will always remember, but here he was just boring....

He lost all his charm....

Is it enough to forget this is manga's adaption.

Enough to forget about beautiful manga ending that

made me cry so badly

and just enjoy NICE love story

in the background of the fashion world.

X-Day

I have started to read this manga, well let's be sincere,

just because of the one character that is a Gothic Lolita,

but in fact it is a quite good story about loneliness.

Three students and one teacher talk on a chat room

about their problems and they decide to blow up the school.

They are able to continue living just because they have a vision of X-Day

when they are going to realize their plan.

It has just two volumes, but characters

are showed in a really authentic way.

Mr Money is beaten by his miserable mother

and he accepts such treatment, because he feels guilty

for ruining her life and wants to be useful.

Jangalian tries to escape from reality and is stalked

by his boss's daughter.

11 has stopped training track because of her injury

and sees how on her eyes a younger girl

takes her position and additionally her bf has left her.

And for the end Polaris,

which interested me the most.

She is a really shy and lost girl

who is able to be self-confident

only when she wears Lolita clothes.

In fact three first people

are having quite real problems,

but Polaris seems

to be worried over seemingly small things

(but isn't the routine of life what makes us depressed the most?).

And in fact she is the one that tries to commit suicide

in the beginning of the manga.

Jupiter's tale (her fav band) is breaking out.

The watch that I loved broke!

I got into another fight with my father this morning!

A girl sitting across from me looked at me and laughed!

I don't want to be on the rush hour train anymore!

It is really difficult to find objective article in mass media.

My general mood is terribly...

depressed... angry... so frustrated

I could just scream

or kill one person...

anyway...

Finally my shoes have arrived!

I reserved them in clobbaonline

in November (yes! LAST YEAR!).

When they were finally released two months ago

I asked them for a hold as I was not prepared for paying

(I almost forgot about them XD)

and then I got a message that they sent it by a mistake

and I do not even need to hurry with the final payment!

So after one year they are finally mine!

They arrived together wit DoL headbow..

I bought it specially to match my brand skirt...

but OMG this headbow is so ugly

that it almost made me laugh!

I will think twice before I will order anything from DoL again...

Versailles: the interview and the concert

Finally this great day has come.

Me and Kira arrived outside the club around 10.

Quite late, but we got numbers the day before.

We were surprised that nobody was waiting there,

but we realized that the club is opened and people wait inside.

It was the first time that I encountered with the situation like that...

It was so convenient .
We could comfortably sit there and stay warm.

First people waiting before the door to the concert hall.

We were distributing Ant1nett's flyers.

And looked amazing^^

At 2 p.m Kira called Jay (tourmanager)

and we were informed that the interview will

be at 2:30!
It was a little stressful, because our translator

has not been there yet....

But fortunately she managed to be on time.

Then next problem appeared...

Jay said that the interview room is very small

and that only one reporter and one translator can come inside....

Kira knew how important it was for me

so she said that I can go.

I am really thankful for choosing me..

I am new in the radio, but I am a big Versailles fan

so being trusted like that is a big honour.

We were leaded by Jay and Versailles manager

through the backstage.

It was my first time there so I was looking at everything with

the greatest excitement.

Preparation on stage,

their clothes hanging somewhere on our way...

Teru with his hair already made,

but in jeans and stylish T-shirt.

Suddenly I heard that my phone is ringing...

I got really nervous because I was afraid that

I will not be able to turn it off before the band will appear.

I was right.

We just came inside and before I realized Kamijo appeared

in front of my eyes.

He greeted us with a smile and a slight bow.

I gave him rose-shaped lollipops

with words let's start interview with sweets.

Then he waited for us to sit first and then he joined us.

Before I even started to read first question,

my friend called my again....

And my ringtone was

Destiny- the lovers.....

I apologized and bowed my head,

but Kamijo just started to laugh

and said oh it's my voice.

Finally I joined him with laughing XD

The interview was going on properly.

Kamijo spoke very slowly and used keigo (honorific speech).

In fact questions were also put in this way,

but he really used extremely polite language

what suited perfectly to his way of speaking

and melodic, delicate voice.

When his sentences were longer

he asked us Gozonji desuka

(do you understand?)

and with every minute

I was more charmed by his gentleness and

perfectly proper behavior.

Some of my friends were afraid if I will be able to survive it

(they know that I love Kamijo more than anybody),

but frankly I have to admit that I was not nervous at all.

I am crazy about Kamijo's stage image when he looks like

a fairy tale character, like my dreamed prince

and I cry when I hear his dramatic voice.

But now before me eyes I saw neat charming man

dressed in black

with sunglasses, fashionable shoes

and perfect etiquette.

He was someone else.

But I can say it freely:

I fell in love with him.

Not with Kamijo,

but with this man in front of my eyes.

After the interview I spoke with him

for a while more privately

and even if I do not have a lot of experience

in speaking Japanese,

I tried without a worry.

(he just said that I should speak slower..

well seems like I wanted to say everything on one breath...XD)

The he waited when we will leave the room first.

Kamijo is a real gentleman.

When I went outside the backstage

quite big group of people

surrounded me

and started to ask thousands of questions:

what he was wearing

how was he behaving

how he looked

what he said...

One girl made a microphone from her hand

and she put it in front of my mouth

when I was speaking...

it really made me laugh XD

When I said that Kamijo's house is white and looks like Versailles

people got excited and questions started to be more stupid:

will he invite us there........... XD

Greetings for a girl who said

You talk with Kamijo, can I hug you.

It was cute XD

Then we were spending more time inside the club.

Enough it.

Let's start with the concert review.

I finished in a second row

between Kamijo and Hizaki,

but then I moved closer to Kamijo

when one girl decided to go to the back.

Maybe the first I will say what disappointed me:

they did not play Flowery...

It is all.

Now only positives.

Even objectively speaking this concert was amazing.

Sounds quality was really good

and all members had perfect contact with fans.

I have never seen any bands

with such friendly and opened behavior

during concert...

The stage was low and the distance between stage and the barrier

was small

so Kamijo was able to put one leg on the barrier when singing.

Versailles is really a philharmonic quintet.

There are five (or rather six) of them on the stage,

but in fact we all join them creating the philharmonic.

We were not just looking

we were fully participating in it.

Usually I jump and scream on concerts a lot

(like on YFC one),

but here I was just standing immovably

and looking on a beauty before my eyes.

And God said

let Versailles be perfection

- I read on tumblr

and this is exactly what I was feeling.

When they appeared on the stage I felt deeply moved

but I did not start crying until Love will be born again.

But then I cried until the end

with just small breaks.

made me burst out...

It was other Kamijo than the one from the interview.

He was not real.

They all were not real.

They were just characters from my dreams

and they took me to the Wonderland

I have always dreamed about.

I think it is really easy to divide their real self

and their stage image.

I think that even if Kamijo was my friend

I would still cry during concerts.

I was contemplating their outfits in detail.

Every single button was so beautiful

that it was making me cry again.

Hizaki looked like a living doll,

an angel who is too beautiful to be seen in the real life.

He is the most gorgeous existence in this world

- I thought.

And he moved himself with such a grace.

When I was touching his dress

I had feeling

like touching something saint.

I was doing it

with a pious reverence.

I could not bear such beauty....

It was not just a normal concert.

It was almost mystical.

Like some kind of ceremony...

I have never imagined that

their songs can sound so beautifully...

I was floating on a cloud of dreams.

The world has disappeared.

I was not really conscious when it ended...

In fact we did not have to wait long until

meet&greet.

They were all sitting

and exchanging greetings with fans

and even allowed to be hugged.

They look gorgeous in their Aatp outfits,

but I did not feel this godly atmosphere

which surrounded them when they were on stage.

I expressed how thankful I am for

giving me such an amazing time.

And I could see "second Kamijo" again.

He recognized me from the interview

and asked if I liked the concert.

I said that all this beauty made me cry

and I bowed my head

in a sign of a full respect.

When I finally reached home

I burst into tears again.

It was definitely the best day in my life.

And beauty is a form of genius--

So the last day before Versailles gig has passed quite nicely^^

We bought rose-shaped lollipops

to give them before the interview ^^

Finally I received my press accreditation.

so we have eaten free cakes^^

and I feel like it gives me a lot of power for tomorrow.
